The original Café Habana was built by in 1998 by Sean Meenan in an old-school Dominican Diner that had been holding it down on the corner of Elizabeth and Price long before NoLita was born. Inspired by a storied Mexico City lunch joint where legend has it Che and Fidel plotted the Cuban Revolution. Years later its a local landmark with celebrity sightings, reviewer accolades and dedicated aficionados. The kind of place where old-time neighbourhood denizens pull rank on beautiful hipsters for the best tables!

Café Habana has now landed on Dubai’s doorstep in downtown’s gastronomic hub- Souk Al Bahar and is staying true to its Cuban-Mexican roots with authentic cuisine, celestial cocktails and buzzing atmosphere so its no surprise Café Habana scooped a spot in AHLAN! Magazine’s Hot 100 Restaurants.
